The melting furnace will be made from 10mm thk. MS sheet fabricated and supported with sufficient ribs to |
|

strengthen the same. The furnace will be at elevated ht with hydraulic
arrangement for tilting. Furnace in side lining |
|
| |
of 350 mm thick refractory and imported dense castables insulation material. Furnace will be equipped with 2 no of |
|
| |
burners and other required accessories. Furnace will be having 2 no of doors one each for charging of RM and |
|
| |
removal of dross.
The size of furnace will be 3000 x 4500 x 2300mm ht.

Billet Caster |

The caster will be operating on a DC method. The caster of dia 140mm, 20nos. Which is having the capacity to |
|
| |
draw logs upto 6000mm in length. The upper die plate will be water cooled to solidify the metal immediately. |
|
| |
The bottom part of the caster which is mounted on the hydraulic cylinder will be slowly moves down as molten |
|
| |
aluminum flows from the upper caster.After the casting process over, the same hydraulic cylinder pushes the log to |
|
| |
up side for unloading. |

Billet Cutting |

The log cutting is achieved from the continuous type automatic band saw machine which cuts the logs to |
|
| |
appropriate sizes to be set on the machine The logs are kept on the machine loader and will be fed automatically to |
|
| |
the machine and cut to the desired length.

Homoginization Furnace |

Based on the capacity of production the furnace with 10T capacity been proposed.This furnace is working on gas |
|
| |
heating facility. The burners used are IBS, Germany. Furnace would have SS310 baffles and re-circulation fans with |
|
| |
auto reversing facility.
The furnace will be bogie hearth type with single bogie |
|
| |
